Hi there!!
First week back at work from a week off is hard. But the week seemed to go by pretty quickly. I was busy though, errands to do a cards to make. Here is a card I made for a friend, she has a close friend that is having a baby girl and the first name begins with an 'M', so she asked me to make a card that incorporated the 'M' in it, this is what I came up with.
Have a wonderful day!

Birthday Crazy!
I'm going birthday crazy, not only is my daughter's 4th birthday coming up soon, but my mother in law and my dad's birthday are both in the same week. Can I tell you, that masuline cards are the hardest cards for me to do. I get stuck everytime, and I just end up doing a very simple card, which is still good, but a little unlike me.
Anyway, with my mother in law's card I wanted to do something quick but summer'ish and cute and I was looking through Lawn Fawn's blog and came across the cutest card/invite that Kelly Marie Alvarez made and I had to lift it, here is the link, http://lawnfawn.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2010-07-12T09%3A57%3A00-07%3A00&max-results=5. If you have never been to Kelly Marie's blog, then you are living under a rock, she is fabulous and a great designer. Here is my card.
This is the simple, clean card I did for my dad, who's birthday is today! Happy birthday Dad..love you!
Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful day!

A relaxing Sunday post
Hey there
Nothing much going on today, kind of a lazy day, I'm feeling somewhat lazy myself. No promises on making cards today, although I want to, we'll see if I can get my butt into the craft room.
I went out with my Dad last night to visit his side of the family for a birthday party, it was about a 2hr drive and I didn't get home until 1am then I was up with the kids early this morning, needless to say, I am tired. On a good note, my husband looked after the kids while I went out and everything went okay, no headaches, no problems...thank goodness!
Here is a card I completed last weekend, enjoy!

Summer
Yesterday was the first day of summer and it was a gorgeous day, but today...not so much. Raining, literally, all day, thank goodness I am not on vacation this week or else I would have been pretty upset. I was finally able to take a couple photos of my cards yesterday. I like taking photos of my cards in natural sunlight, personally, I think they look better and not shadowy. Here are a couple, enjoy and tfl!

Today is such a great day, we celebrate Father's and what a great job they do. I will be spending time visiting my dad, celebrating my husband's good work and visiting my father in law. Here are a couple of cards that I did for my husband (from my kids) and to my Dad. TFL!

Monday Blues
I have the Monday blues, it was very hard to get out of bed this morning. I had a pretty exhausting weekend, and I felt as if I needed one more day. Just one more day to rest. Oh well, 4 more days and it's the weekend!
I received a request 2 weeks ago to make a wedding card, she told me that the bride was very stylish and classy and loved pink...this is what I came up with, TFL!

No, I didn't forget that I had a blog
Life has been chaotic to say the least. Too busy for cards, if you can imagine that! It has been from babysitting 2 more kids for a couple friends, to taking my daughter to the Emerg for a separated shoulder. I am still fighting a brutal cold, with a cough that won't seem to go away, and today I did a 10K. Everything was going fine until I got a cough attack that slowed me down. I am not impressed with my time this year, looks like I am going to have to enter another 10K to make up for it.
So here is an older card that I never posted, not sure why I didn't post it, probably because I liked other cards at the time. TFL!

Where the heck did that week go?
So, it's been a week since I last blogged, and it's been a busy one. First of all, with all the season finale's happening, I have no "spare time" (how about that Grey's Anatomy finale???!! Amazing!) and today, is my hubby's birthday. I have been racking my brain on what to get him, I really wanted to do something different, but I just didn't know what, finally I just settled with treating him to the casino, all expenses paid. He'll have a great time.
Okay here is a card that I did for my hubby's b-day, it is a card-lift and I am really sorry but I don't know the name of the person who did it. But am pretty sure I saw her card on Scrapbook.com and it just sort of stuck in my head, so thank you very much for the inspiration!

Ahhhh Saturday...I love you!
How much do I love Saturday's? The chance to sleep in (a bit), to spend time with my hubby and kids, to do errands that have been put on the backburner all week, to SPEND MONEY (one of my fav things to do), ahh yes, I do love my Saturday's. I'm also still getting over the season finale of Vampire Diaries last night, ohh baby, what an episode! It's going to be a long summer waiting for that show to start up again.
I'm going to try to get some cards done this weekend, a couple of my co-workers would like to pick and choose from what I have. So we will see what I can come up with. I bought some Copic markers today, never used them before, I;m nervous...you'll see what I come up with soon:)

Kindergarten Blues
It's not my daughter that has the kidergarten blues, it's me. This morning, I took time off work to take my 3yr old to visit her kindergarten classroom (she starts in Sept). I was so nervous this morning. She blended in nicely, she had fun with the other kids, she did some colouring and crafts, but was very shy. I am going to have a hard time when the big day arrives in Sept and I have to walk her into that classroom and leave her there...oh my heart! There will be tears that day. I can't believe how things have changed since I was in elementary school, the learning is completely different, but different for the better. The kids have to know more before going to kindergarten, they have to know how to count to 10, sing their abc's and print them, print their name, call 911 etc. I'm pretty sure that when I went to kindergarten, there was a lot of singing and clapping and playtime, now they get homework! HOMEWORK...in kindergarten! Good to know my kids will be smarter than me:)
Anyways, here are a couple simple cards. I have a hard time with simple cards, I always want to do more, I have to remember that "less is more" but I always want to add a ribbon or buttons somewhere, so, yeah, simple cards are hard for me..lol.

Gala
Hey there
For the past week and a half and I have searching for a dress, pulling my hair out trying to find the perfect one and the perfect fit. I couldn't find anything! The reason why I needed a dress was because I was going to a gala, the LG innovators gala. This is a black tie event and I ended up having to wear a dress that was in my closet and I was not impressed. The party was good, I went with my sister in law, I felt a little out of place, most of the people there worked with each other and were schmoozing, we, on the other hand, were just there, participating. But, it gave us a chance to people watch and comment on other peoples outfits and shoes. I think if we were to go again next year, I would search longer for a new and fabulous dress, spend more time on my hair and make-up and show up later for the party.

Now back to the cards, I managed to do a couple cards last weekend (in between shopping for a dress), and to be honest with you, I am running out of ideas. I have been online a lot looking at sketches and buying Paper Crafts magazine for inspiration. Problem is, I can't find anything that I really like. So, the search continues.

A Friday Vacation Day
Hey there, I took a vacation day today to spend some time with my kids and decided to do a quick blog while my little guy naps and my little girl watched Alice in Wonderland. Easter weekend flew by for me, one of my best friends came for a visit from Vancouver so we added another little dinner party for her. So lets just say, that last weekend I have never eaten so much in my life! I did a lot of running to balance everything out. The weather was gorgeous and huge motivation for running outside. Today, on the other hand, is chilly, not sure if I can run outside, might have to resort to the treadmill. Hopefully, I will get to do a couple cards on Sunday. I have gotten a request for generic cards, you know, cards that could be birthday, thank you, miss you, whatever. So that will be a bit of a challenge for me.
Here are a couple cards that I did over the Easter weekend, TFL!

Here are a couple hand drawn cards...yes, I said it "hand drawn"

Okay...wow! It's been a looong time!
Hey there! So, my computer had this massive virus, thought we were going to have to buy a new one, but we managed to fix it, well, my husband managed to fix it. So, I am back online. I have to catch up on what I have missed around the blogging world. Besides having the virus, I have been super busy with cards, would you believe that I have been so busy that cards went out and I didn't get the chance to take pics of them!
Here are a couple recent ones:
One is for a friend that just had a baby boy and the other is an Easter card:) TFL!

This Bunny is a lift from Amy Celona (ustamp4fun.com) who credits her inspiration for this by from Sam Parisi. It was so cute I couldn't pass it up! Thank you for inspiring me!

Sunday and a time change
Until Daylight saving time happens, you never think it will affect you in anyway. But, it does. It affects the kids too. So, today, was an odd day, looking at the clock and thinking, is that the real time? Did I change that clock already? The moods of the kids was, I'm just going to say it...hell, pure hell. As the day went on, you think to yourself, can the time change really affect then this much, answer....yes! My 3yr old, wasn't too bad, but my 16mth old had a real hard time, especially at nap time. He's going to be super tired tomorrow morning when I get him up early.
Anyway, that was my day. I completed a couple Easter cards, but I haven't taken photo's of them yet.
here are a couple cards I did a few weeks ago...enjoy and thanks for looking!

Olympic Fever!
I am still watching the Olympics everyday and whatever I miss, I catch on the internet the next day. I am very proud of the Canadian Women's Hockey team, what a game!! As you may or may not know, I am a huge hockey fan, so Olympic hockey is some of the best hockey I get to see. I heard this morning that there were some complaints on the way the women celebrated after the game. Apparently, after the fans had left the women continued to celebrate on the ice drinking beer and smoking cigars, honestly, is this really that big of a deal? They weren't hurting anyone but themselves and I certainly didn't take it as a slap in the face of the American women (who also had a great run in the Olympics), it was just a celebration, and it just so happens that it was on the ice and not in their dressing room. And not for nothing, but, this may be the last time the Women's Hockey is in the Olympics, so why not go out with some memories...right?
My men are on tonight to play Slovakia, go Canada go! And congrats to Joannie Rochette for her courageous bronze medal.
I had a vacation day today, so I was able to do up a card while my little guy had a nap.
