2nd Blog of the day..this never happens!

So, I actually had some free time this afternoon to make another card. I'm feeling kinda summer'ish with this one, and I was having a "good day".
Enjoy the rest of your day, and TFL!

Birthday Crazy!

I'm going birthday crazy, not only is my daughter's 4th birthday coming up soon, but my mother in law and my dad's birthday are both in the same week. Can I tell you, that masuline cards are the hardest cards for me to do. I get stuck everytime, and I just end up doing a very simple card, which is still good, but a little unlike me.
Anyway, with my mother in law's card I wanted to do something quick but summer'ish and cute and I was looking through Lawn Fawn's blog and came across the cutest card/invite that Kelly Marie Alvarez made and I had to lift it, here is the link, http://lawnfawn.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2010-07-12T09%3A57%3A00-07%3A00&max-results=5. If you have never been to Kelly Marie's blog, then you are living under a rock, she is fabulous and a great designer. Here is my card.

This is the simple, clean card I did for my dad, who's birthday is today! Happy birthday Dad..love you!

Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful day!

Birthday Card done!

I'm ahead of the game! Thank goodness I am on vacation this week, I'm managing to get a lot of stuff done, especially for Kayla's 4th birthday at the end of the month. One problem, my mother in law and my Dad's birthday are both this week, and I haven't started their cards yet, and, I have no idea on what I am going to do for their cards either. I'll admit, I'm not very good a masculine cards, I always draw a blank, so anyone has any ideas for me..please pass them along!
Here's the card I made for Kayla, tfl and have a wonderful day!

Invites done!!

Well, I finished the invites. I wanted them to be as simple as possible since I was going to be making at least 10 of them. So, I literally just stamped and coloured in. My daughter wants everything to be pretty much pink, so I thought I would add a little accent colour to her pink theme which is green. Her party is going to be a summer garden party, it will be in our backyard and I will have flowers and ladybugs etc. Orgainizing a little girls party is very hectic! When I ask her what she wants for her birthday she says, "Ummm presents...pink presents..and..ummm a pink cake!" Thank goodness I am on vacation this week, so I can order a pink cake, get decorations and get her a pink present.
Here are the invites, TFL! Have a great day!

Stuck on invites:(

Hi there
My daughter's 4th birthday is coming up and I wanted to do up some cute but simple (because I have to make 10-15 of them) invitations. For some reason, I am having a hard time with it. I dont' know if it is because I want to keep them simple and I can't help but embellish more, or if it is because I am having a hard time with the colours (pink, and lime green). I don't know, I will post them if I do get them done, even if I give up, I will post what I ended up doing.
Until then, here is a new card, TFL!

It's a heat wave

Well, we have a major heat wave here in Toronto and in the burbs of Toronto. Fortunately, my scrap area is in the coolest part of the house, the basement! Even with central A/C it can still get quite warm in areas of the house. I managed to get a card done with some inspiration from Julia Stainton in the latest Paper Crafts magazine. I just love that magazine for inspiration!
One of the best things about this card is that I got to use stickers that I have had for a very long time, and I mean a very looong time. These must be retired by now, but at least I used them, right?
Anyways, thanks again for looking.

A Sunday blog

Hey there!
I just came back from taking my daughter to see Toy Story 3 and if you haven't seen it with your kids (or if you don't have kids) go see it! Sooo cute and a little sad.
I going to have to get moving on some cards because the girls at work have been asking me to bring some in and I to give them a good variety of cards, not just birthday, wedding and baby, so I am going to have to come up with some different themes, so stay tuned for those. In the meantime, here is a cute one that could be used for a girl's birthday, possibly a new baby girl? I don't know, but I thought it was cute when it was done. TFL!
